1- "Shall I inform you of the gravest of the major sins?*" He repeated this three times. They said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Associating partners with Allah and undutifulness to parents." He was reclining and then sat up and said: "And indeed, the false statement." He repeated it so many times that we wished he would stop.

2- "When a man loves his brother, he should tell him that he loves him."

3- “Avoid the seven destructive sins*” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, what are they?” He said: “Associating partners with Allah; magic (sorcery); killing a person whose killing Allah has prohibited except by legal right; consuming usury; devouring the property of an orphan; fleeing from the battlefield; and slandering chaste, innocent, and believing women.”

4- "May Allah have mercy on a man who is lenient when he sells, when he buys, and when he asks for repayment of the debt."

5- . :

6- "Verily, Allah has enjoined kindness in all things*. So, when you kill, kill with kindness; and when you slaughter, slaughter with kindness. Let one of you sharpen his blade and spare the animal he slaughters from suffering."

7- A man came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "Advise me." He said: "@Do not get angry*." He repeated that several times, and every time, he would say: "Do not get angry."

8- "Those who act justly will be with Allah on pulpits of light at the right Hand of the Most Compassionate, Exalted be He, and both His Hands are right*. They are those who are just in their judgment and towards their people and what is under their charge."

9- "He who is deprived of gentleness is deprived of goodness."

10- "Beware of false thought, for false thought is the most untruth speech*. Do not search for the faults of one another, do not spy on one another, do not envy one another, do not turn your backs on one another, do not harbor hatred for one another, and be, O slaves of Allah, brothers."

11- "Do not belittle any good deed, even if it be meeting your brother with a cheerful face."

12- "The strong man is not the one who can overpower others; rather, the strong man is the one who controls himself when he is angry."

13- A man came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "My camel has become exhausted, so give me a mount." He replied: "I do not have any." Someone said: "O Messenger of Allah, I can guide him to one who will give him a mount." Thereupon, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "@Whoever guides to a good deed will get the same reward as the doer of that deed*."

14- "A scandalmonger will not enter Paradise."

15- "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should say what is good or keep silent.* Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his neighbor. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his guest."

16- "Whoever does not show mercy to people, Allah Almighty does not show mercy to him."

17- "The most hated person in the sight of Allah is the most quarrelsome person."

18- :

19- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) heard a man preaching to his brother about modesty; he said: "@Modesty is part of faith*."

20- "Adhere to truthfulness, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise*. A man will keep telling the truth and strive to tell the truth until he is recorded with Allah as the most truthful. Beware of lying, for lying leads to wickedness and wickedness leads to Hellfire. A man will keep telling lies and strive to tell lies until he is recorded with Allah as a persistent liar."

21- "Whoever protects the honor of his brother in his absence, Allah will protect his face from the Fire on the Day of Judgment."

22- "Verily, Allah loves the servant who is pious, free of wants, and inconspicuous."

23- "The most perfect believer in terms of his faith is the one who has the most excellent manners, and the best of you are those who are best to their womenfolk."

24- "Verily, lenience is not found in anything but it adorns it, and it is not removed from anything but it makes it defective."

25- "Verily, a believer can attain, by his good manners, the rank of one who fasts and prays often."

26- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was neither obscene, nor would he use obscene language, and he used to say: "@Verily, the best of you are those who have the best manners."

27- "Verily, Allah gives respite to the oppressor, but when He seizes him, He does not release him*." Then, he recited: {Such is the seizing of your Lord when He seizes the towns that are given to wrongdoing; His seizing is surely painful and severe.} [Surat Hūd: 102]"

28- "Make matters easy and do not make them difficult, and give people glad tidings and do not drive them away."

29- .

30- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade qaza‘ (shaving part of one's head and leaving other parts unshaven).

34- "No slave covers another slave in this world except that Allah would cover him on the Day of Judgment."

35- Allah divided mercy into one hundred parts. He retained with Him ninety-nine parts and sent down to earth one part. Because of this one part, creatures show mercy towards each other, so much so that an animal lifts its hoof away from its youngster lest it should hurt it

36- Fear Allah wherever you are, follow a bad deed with a good deed and it will erase it, and treat people with good morals

37- I asked the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about righteousness and sinfulness, and he said, @"Righteousness is good morals, and sinfulness is what your heart is not at ease with, and you hate that people know about it."

38- :

39- "None of you believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself."

40- Injustice will be excessive darkness on the Day of Judgment

41- "Reviling a Muslim is Fusūq (deobedience) and fighting him is Kufr (disbelief)."

42- Anyone pledges allegiance to a ruler, giving him the grasp of his hand and sincerity of his heart, he should obey him to the best of his capacity. If another man comes forward disputing his authority, then you should behead the latter

43- .

44- It is one of the major sins when a man abuses his parents. It was asked: Would a man ever abuse his parents? He replied: Yes. He abuses the father of another man, who in return abuses his father, and he abuses his mother, and so the latter abuses the former’s mother

45- Whoever listens to the talk of some people while they dislike that, molten lead shall be poured into his ears on the Day of Judgment

46- Woe to him who speaks and tells lies so as to make people laugh thereby. Woe to him! Woe to him!

47- O Messenger of Allah, who is the best among people?

48- "Beware of oppression, for oppression will be layers of darkness on the Day of Judgment; beware of stinginess, as stinginess ruined those before you*. It incited them to shed their blood and regard the unlawful as lawful."

49- I guarantee a house on the outskirts of Paradise for the one who refrains from arguing even if he is right

50- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the foremost deed that leads people to Paradise, and he replied: Fear of Allah and good character. Then, he was asked about the most things that lead people into Hellfire, and he said: The tongue and the private parts

51- On the Day of Resurrection, there will be three categories of people whom Allah will not speak to, purify, or look at

52- Anyone has an atom's weight of arrogance in his heart will not enter Paradise

53- "Do you know who the bankrupt is?*" They said: "The bankrupt among us is the one who has neither money nor belongings." He said: "Verily, the bankrupt in my Ummah is the one who comes on the Day of Resurrection with prayers, fasting, and Zakah, but he comes while he has hurled abuse at this one, slandered that one, unlawfully consumed the wealth of this one, shed the blood of that one, and beat this one. So, this one will be given of his good deeds and that one will be given of his good deeds. If his good deeds run out before justice is fulfilled, some of their sins will be cast upon him and then he will be thrown into Hellfire."

54- "Whoever reports a Hadīth on my authority that is thought to be false is one of the two liars."

55- If you pursue the faults of the Muslims, you will surely corrupt them, or you will nearly corrupt them

56- Whoever incites a woman against her husband or a slave against his master is not one of us

57- Whoever forsakes his brother for a year is like shedding his blood

58- "Verily, the devil has lost hope of being worshiped by those who engage in prayer in the Arabian Peninsula, but has not lost hope of sowing dissension between them."

59- "A man must not look at another man's ‘Awrah (must-cover body part), nor must a woman look at another woman's ‘Awrah*; neither should two men lie undressed under one attire, nor should two women lie undressed under one attire."

60- "A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand Muslims are safe, and a Muhājir (emigrant) is the one who abandons what Allah has forbidden."

61- "Whoever tells a lie about me intentionally, let him take his seat in Hellfire."

62- "A believer is not a slanderer, nor a curser, nor a person who speaks obscenely, nor a person who uses foul language."

63- :

64- It is out of glorification of Allah, Almighty, to honor the grey-haired (old) Muslim, and the bearer of the Qur'an who neither exaggerates concerning it nor neglects it, and to honor the just ruler.

65- Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day let him honor his guest with his due reward. They said: O Messenger of Allah, what is his due reward? He said: "A day and a night (of excellent accommodation) and hospitality is for three days, and whatever is beyond that is charity offered to him."

66- One will be with those whom he loves

67- An honest Muslim storekeeper, who carries out the orders of his master and pays fully what he has been ordered to give with a good heart and pays to that person to whom he was ordered to pay, is regarded as one of the two charitable persons

68- The bankrupt in my Ummah is the one who will come on the Day of Judgment with prayer, fasting and Zakah, but since he hurled abuse at others, accused others of committing adultery without evidence, unlawfully consumed the wealth of others, and shed the blood of others and beat others, his good deeds will be credited to the accounts of others (who suffered at his hands)

69- Whoever suppresses his rage while being able to vent it, Allah, Glorified and Exalted, will call him before the entire creation on the Day of Judgment so that he can choose whomever of the houris he wishes to have

70- Whoever is tried by having daughters and he treats them kindly, they will be a screen for him from Hellfire

71- Allah, the Almighty, will say on the Day of Judgment: Where are those who loved each other for My glory? Today, I will shelter them under My shade the day when there is no shade but My shade

72- Intercede and you will be rewarded, and Allah will decide what He loves on the tongue of His Prophet

73- From the gravest of lies is someone who ascribes himself to other than his biological father, or claims to have seen something in a dream which he actually never saw, or ascribes something to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) which he did not say

74- The best of companions in the sight of Allah, the Almighty, is the best of them to his companion, and the best of neighbors in the sight of Allah, the Almighty, is the best of them to his neighbor

75- Where is the one who was swearing by Allah that he would not do a favor?

76- Richness is not the abundance of wealth. Rather, true richness is self-sufficiency

77- The liar is not the one who seeks reconciliation between people, conveying good, or saying good things

78- The believer should not be stung twice from the same hole

79- I was walking with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and he was wearing a Najrāni cloak with a thick hem. A Bedouin approached him and pulled him violently by his cloak

80- Do not say "upon you be peace"; "Upon you be peace" is how you greet the dead. Say instead "peace be upon you"

81- If the son of Adam were to own a valley of gold, he would desire to have two valleys. Nothing can fill his mouth except dust, and Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents

82- The pleasure of Allah is in the pleasure of the parents, and the displeasure of Allah is in the displeasure of the parents

83- Whoever gives up wearing elegant expensive clothes out of humbleness with Allah, while he can afford it, Allah will call him on the Day of Judgment before all people and let him choose whichever of the garments of faith he would like to wear

84- Whoever does not show mercy will not be shown mercy

85- A believer is the mirror of his fellow believer

86- Verily, Allah, the Exalted, revealed to me that you must be humble, so that no one oppresses another or boasts of oneself before another

87- Verily you cannot embrace and suffice all people with your money, but you can embrace and suffice them all with a cheerful face and good manners

88- Whoever exalts himself over others and walks with a swaggering gait (with pride), will meet Allah while He is angry with him

89- Will you not listen? Will you not listen? Simplicity is part of faith, simplicity is part of faith

90- Allah is Lenient and He loves leniency in all matters

91- Indeed you possess two traits that Allah loves: Prudence and deliberation

92- The example of a miser and a generous person is that of two men wearing two iron cloaks covering their breasts up to their collar bones

93- While a man was walking, dressed in fine clothes and admiring himself, with his hair well-combed

94- O group of Muhājirūn and Ansār! There are among you such people who have no property and no kinsfolk. So let each one of you take along with him two or three men

95- Visit the sick, feed the hungry, and set free the captive

96- Whoever acquires knowledge which should be pursued for the sake of Allah...

97- This is mercy that Allah, the Exalted, has placed in the hearts of His slaves. Verily, Allah shows mercy to those of His slaves who are merciful

98- The one who boasts of receiving what he has not been given is like the one who has put on two garments of falsehood

99- Any Muslim who loses three of his children will not be touched by the Fire except in fulfillment of the oath

100- When two people insult each other, the one who started will be the sinner until the oppressed exceeds the limits
