1- I do not eat while reclining on my side

2- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade breathing into the pot or blowing into it

3- When anyone of you beats his brother, he should avoid the face

4- Go back to them and seek their permission. If they give you permission, you can engage in Jihad, otherwise, be dutiful to them

5- You will eagerly seek out a position of authority, but it will be a source of regret on the Day of Judgment. How excellent is the wet nurse, and how evil is the weaning one

6- O Messenger of Allah, I left no minor or major sin without committing it." He said: "Do you not testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah?

7- Satan comes to one of you and says, 'Who created such and such, and who created such and such', until he says: 'Who created your Lord?' If a person experiences this, he should seek refuge with Allah and desist from that

8- Actions are of six types and people are of four: two imperatives, one and its equal reward, one good deed with ten times as much reward, and one good deed with a seven-hundred-fold reward

9- Among the portents of the Hour is that knowledge will be taken away, ignorance will prevail, adultery will spread, drinking alcohol will be common, and men will decrease in number while women will increase so much that for fifty women there will only be one man to look after them

10- The Hour will not be established until a man would pass by the grave of another man and say: 'I wish I were in his place.'

11- Death will be brought forward in the shape of a black and white ram

12- Your fire is a one-seventieth part of Hellfire

13- Whoever tells a lie about me intentionally, let him take his seat in Hellfire

14- The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned something and said: "That will be at the time when knowledge disappears

15- Do not seek knowledge in order to show off in front of the scholars, or to argue with the foolish;

16- Allah has given a parable: a straight path

17- Would any one of you like to find three large, fat, pregnant she-camels when he returns to his family?

18- It will be said to the one devoted to the Qur’an: Read, ascend, and recite with deliberation as you used to recite in the world. Your rank will be at the last verse you recite

19- He who recites the Qur’an openly is like he who gives charity openly, and he who recites the Qur’an secretly is like he who gives charity secretly

20- they would listen to ten verses from the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) and not move to the next ten verses until they learned the knowledge and application contained therein

21- O Abu al-Mundhir, do you know which verse of Allah's Book that you have is the greatest?" I said: "{Allah: none has the right to be worshiped except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining...} [Surat al-Baqarah: 255]." Thereupon, he struck me on the chest and said: "May knowledge be pleasant for you, O Abu al-Mundhir!

22- When the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) went to bed every night, he would join his palms together and blow into them and recite the Surahs al-Ikhlās, al-Falaq, and an-Nās,

23- If you see those who follow the ambiguous verses, they are those whom Allah has named; so, beware of them

24- There is no man who commits a sin, then gets up and performs Tahārah (ritual purification), then performs prayer, then seeks forgiveness from Allah, except that Allah forgives him

25- The extent to which they betrayed you, disobeyed you, and lied to you will be measured against how much you punish them

26- Say 'there is no god but Allah', and I will testify for you by it on the Day of Judgment

27- {Then, on that Day, you will definitely be questioned about your worldly pleasures.}

28- When you hear the Muezzin, say what he says and then invoke Allah's blessings upon me

29- When any of you enters the mosque, let him say: 'Allahumma iftah li abwāba rahmatik' (O Allah, open for me the gates of Your mercy). And when he leaves, let him say: 'Allahumma inni as’aluka min fadlik' (O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty)

30- That is Satan who is known as Khinzab. If you perceive his effect, seek refuge with Allah from him and spit three times to your left

31- Allah does not accept any deed except what is done purely for Him and in pursuit of His Countenance

32- “There are four (traits); whoever has them is a sheer hypocrite, and whoever has one trait of them has one of the traits of hypocrisy until he gives it up: whenever he speaks, he tells a lie; whenever he makes a covenant, he proves treacherous; whenever he makes a promise, he breaks it; and whenever he is in a dispute, he behaves in a shameless immoral manner

33- Part of a person's excellence in Islam is his leaving what does not concern him

34- When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a pious child who supplicates for him

35- A believer is not a slanderer, nor a curser, nor a person who speaks obscenely, nor a person who uses foul language

36- Whoever says a hundred times in a day: "La ilāha illallāhu wahdahu la sharīka lah, lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-hamdu wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadīr" (There is no god but Allah. He is One, and He has no partner with Him; to Him belong the sovereignty and praise, and He is competent over all things)

37- The heart of an elderly person remains young in two things: in the love of this world and long hopes

38- Remember the destroyer of pleasures frequently," meaning death

39- Do not enter the dwellings of those who have wronged themselves, unless you are weeping

40- The trials are presented to the hearts, like a reed mat, stick by stick

41- When anyone of you eats food, let him not wipe his hand until he licks it or has it licked.

42- When Allah gathers the first and the last on the Day of Judgment, a banner will be raised for every traitor, and it will be said: This is the betrayal of so-and-so, the son of so-and-so

43- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us with seven and forbade us from seven

44- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) had a gold ring made for himself

45- Every drink that intoxicates is unlawful.

46- The prohibition of wine was revealed, which is made of five things: grapes, dates, honey, wheat, and barley.

47- Observing Ribāt (guarding the Muslims' frontiers) for one day in the cause of Allah is better than the world and everything in it

48- If a man – or he said someone – peeped at you without your permission and you threw a pebble at him that gouged out his eye, you would not be at fault.

49- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade wearing silk except for the width of two, three, or four fingers.

50- Shall I not inform you about these three persons? One of them sought refuge with Allah, so Allah gave him refuge. The second one felt shy, so Allah was shy towards him. And the last one turned away, so Allah turned away from him.

51- He said: Say: O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the hidden and the apparent, Lord of everything and its Possessor, I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my own self and from the evil of the devil and the evil of polytheism to which he calls.

52- In the evening, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: The evening has reached, and all the dominion belongs to Allah and praise be to Allah. There is no god but Allah, alone with no partner.

53- A man will go to sleep and honesty will be taken out of his heart and only a trace of it will remain, like the trace of a dark spot. And a man will go to sleep again and the honesty will decrease further still, so its trace will resemble that of a blister.

54- I love you for Allah's sake. He said: May the One you love me for His sake love you

55- When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) entered the privy, a servant and I used to carry a waterskin and a pointed staff, and he would cleanse himself with water

56- It is out of glorification of Allah, Almighty, to honor the grey-haired (old) Muslim, and the bearer of the Qur'an who neither exaggerates concerning it nor neglects it, and to honor the just ruler.

57- I saw you pray towards a direction other than the Qiblah! He said: Had I not seen the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) doing so, I would not have done it

58- Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day let him honor his guest with his due reward. They said: O Messenger of Allah, what is his due reward? He said: "A day and a night (of excellent accommodation) and hospitality is for three days, and whatever is beyond that is charity offered to him."

59- I saw the Ansār do something with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) after which I took a pledge upon myself that I would not accompany anyone of them without serving him

60- I entrust Allah with your religion, your trusts, and your last deeds

61- One will be with those whom he loves

62- He does not belong to us who does not show mercy to our young and honor our old

63- An honest Muslim storekeeper, who carries out the orders of his master and pays fully what he has been ordered to give with a good heart and pays to that person to whom he was ordered to pay, is regarded as one of the two charitable persons

64- There were two brothers during the time of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). One of them used to come to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and the other used to work to earn a living. Once, the working brother complained to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about his brother. Thereupon, he replied: Perhaps you are granted sustenance because of him

65- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer voluntary prayer on the back of his riding beast (camel), whatever direction it went. He would nod his head. Ibn ‘Umar would do so as well

66- I was a boy during the time of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and I used to memorize some of what he said. Nothing prevented me from narrating (what I learned) except that there were men here who were older than me

67- Indeed, Allah has made Paradise obligatory for her because of it, or He has freed her from Hellfire because of it

68- I am a messenger from Allah to you to tell you that Allah loves you as you love him for His sake

69- The Prophet's wives were with him when Fātimah (may Allah be pleased with her) came walking. Her gait was exactly similar to the gait of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him)

70- I never felt jealous of any of the Prophet's wives more than I felt jealous of Khadījah (may Allah be pleased with her). I never saw her, but he used to mention her a lot

71- The needy is not the one who can be turned away with a date-fruit or two, or a morsel or two. But, the needy is the one who abstains from begging

72- Anyone in an area afflicted with plague who stays therein patiently hoping for Allah's reward and believing that nothing will befall him except what Allah has foreordained for him will get a reward similar to that of a martyr

73- The bankrupt in my Ummah is the one who will come on the Day of Judgment with prayer, fasting and Zakah, but since he hurled abuse at others, accused others of committing adultery without evidence, unlawfully consumed the wealth of others, and shed the blood of others and beat others, his good deeds will be credited to the accounts of others (who suffered at his hands)

74- Recite frequently: Yādha al-jalāl wa al-ikrām (O Possessor of Majesty and Bounty)

75- When one of you arrives at a gathering, let him greet with peace. When he wants to leave, let him greet with peace, for the first is not more deserving than the last

76- I looked into Paradise and found that the majority of its people are the poor, and I looked into the Fire and found that the majority of its people are women

77- The supplication of a Muslim for a fellow Muslim in his absence is answered

78- I will do my best to lead you in prayer just as the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to lead us in prayer

79- When we went to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) one would sit wherever there was room

80- Paradise and Hell debated. Hell said: The tyrants and the proud are in me. Paradise said: The weak and the poor are in me

81- Whoever suppresses his rage while being able to vent it, Allah, Glorified and Exalted, will call him before the entire creation on the Day of Judgment so that he can choose whomever of the houris he wishes to have

82- You indulge in such actions that are less significant in your eyes than a hair, while we used to consider them destructive sins during the Prophet’s lifetime

83- You will experience favoritism after me, so have patience until you meet me at the Basin

84- If Allah willed to do good to His slave, He expedites his punishment in the life of this world, and if He willed to do ill to His slave, He withholds the punishment for his sins until He comes with all his sins on the Day of Resurrection

85- Whoever takes care of daughters and treats them kindly, they will be a screen for him from Hellfire

86- Are you granted victory and provided with sustenance except through your weak ones?

87- Allah, the Almighty, will say on the Day of Judgment: Where are those who loved each other for My glory? Today, I will shelter them under My shade the day when there is no shade but My shade

88- Whoever visits a sick person or a brother of his for Allah's sake, a caller calls out: May you be glad, may your footsteps be blessed, and may you dwell a home in Paradise

89- Whenever the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) spoke a word, he would repeat it thrice until it is understood from him. Whenever he greeted a group of people, he would greet them thrice

90- Two of the Prophet's Companions left his house on a dark night and were led by two lights like lamps illuminating the way before them

91- Take no companion except a believer and let no one eat your food except an Allah-fearing person

92- A man came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, I intend to go on a journey, so give me provision. He said: May Allah grant you piety as your provision

93- She said: Do not tell anyone the secret of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). Anas said: By Allah, if I were to tell anyone about it, I would have told you about it, O Thābit

94- Verily, the devil can eat from any food upon which the Name of Allah is not mentioned

95- Allah, the Almighty, said: Those who love one another for the sake of My glory will have pulpits of light for which the prophets and martyrs will envy them

96- When Allah created Adam (peace be upon him), He said to him: Go and greet those – a group of angels who were sitting – and listen to what they are going to say in response to your greeting as that will be your greeting and the greeting of your offspring

97- O Messenger of Allah, what if a man comes to me wanting to take my money?

98- There are forty good qualities, the best of which is the lending of a milch goat. Anyone carries out any of these virtuous deeds seeking its reward (from Allah) with firm confidence that he will receive it, Allah will admit him to Paradise

99- Intercede and you will be rewarded, and Allah will decide what He loves on the tongue of His Prophet

100- When the end of time draws near, the dream of a believer can hardly be false, and the dream of a believer is one part from forty-six parts of prophet-hood
